Command Aire 5C3

1929 - N946E

The oldest air ready plane in the Collection, the Command Aire 5C3 is a beautiful plane built in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1928 during the Golden Age of the Biplane. Well known for its stability, it was claimed the pilot could leave the cockpit mid-flight! The planes were used extensively for crop dusting due to their slow speed and excellent handling capabilities.  One of only three currently flying, the Command Aire 5C3 is a rare treat to see.
