Piper J-3 "Cub"

The J-3 Cub is by far the most iconic of the Cub series. The airplane’s yellow body and black lightening bolt make this small airplane a stand out even in a crowded airport. As the first airplane created under the new Piper Aircraft Company, upwards of 6,000 were produced. The popular plane was used in the education of new pilots and found its place in flight schools all over the United States of. It was a common first plane for many. Bob Juranich took his first solo flight in this exact J-3 on February 13th, 1965, in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
